A legal metrology certificate is issued by the Legal Metrology Director of the Central Government or the State Legal Metrology Controller. If The LMPC is issued in the trader’s name, everything looks fine and legal. This certification requires periodic validation. Registrations are valid for a minimum of one year and a maximum of five years. Either the state or the federal government can issue this certificate.
